I had exactly the same problem and finally found a workaround. Here is what worked:

  1. I downloaded and installed the 10.14 base version (2022.001) from the Acrobat downloads page.
  2. In the next step I installed the 2025.001 Update. Official Link: https://ardownload3.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/mac/AcrobatDC/2500120756/AcrobatDCUpd2500120756.dmg
  3. Next I launched Acrobat and went to Help > Check for Updates.
