Analytics Data Mismatch on Community Posts
1. Issue Summary
The Analytics Dashboard is displaying a discrepancy between the total "View Count" shown on the community feed and the detailed "Engagement Report" inside the post-analytics view. Specifically, the engagement report is undercounting views by approximately 30-40%.
2. Environment
-
Platform: Web Dashboard / Admin Console
-
Browser: Chrome v121.0, Firefox v122
-
User Role: Community Manager / Admin
3. Steps to Reproduce
-
Navigate to the Community Feed.
-
Locate a post published within the last 24 hours (e.g., "Feature Spotlight: Threaded Replies").
-
Note the View Count displayed on the public card (e.g., 1,200 views).
-
Click on the post and select "View Detailed Analytics."
-
Compare the "Total Impressions/Views" in the graph to the number noted in Step 3.
4. Expected Behavior
The view count on the public-facing post card should sync with the backend analytics reporting tool (allowing for a standard 5-10 minute caching delay).
5. Actual Behavior
The public card shows 1,200 views, but the detailed analytics report only shows 740 views. The data appears to "flatline" in the analytics graph even when live engagement (likes/comments) is still increasing.
